About The Author

Paul Kelly is 29, Irish and more than a little bit hairy. He lives in Leicester with his wife Toni and their three cats. Paul willingly accepts his position as the fifth most important resident of the flat, just ahead of the Santa helium balloon rescued from Asda two short months ago. His hobbies include using Half Man Half Biscuit quotes in lieu of having anything original to say, and cookery. Paul is a sports nut, particularly keen on football, rugby and American football, and is also fairly anal about music.

When not consumed by a fiery rage that springs from underneath his ribs like a bullet from a gun, Paul also does an occasional spot of tutoring to keep the wolf from the door. This is a consequence of an agreement struck with the wolf four months ago, when it accepted Paul’s offer of French classes if it stopped knocking at all hours asking if Paul had spotted Little Red Riding Hood on his travels.

Though it would be stretching things to suggest that the doggerel he turns out on this blog is down to any influences per se, Paul’s favourite writers include Terry Pratchett, James Ellroy and Charlie Brooker. He also freely admits to adoring the Harry Potter novels to the extent that he feels a fierce sense of house loyalty towards Ravenclaw, and frequently can be heard muttering “Avada Kedavra” in long shopping queues “just in case”.

  2. Hey Chris

I am the new UK Community Manager for Current TV. Current is a TV station on Sky and Virgin Media and is owned by Al Gore.

We are currently on a large project to reach out to bloggers in the UK, introduce them to our site and to see if we can get them involved in some way. This may be through the driving of traffic or creation of content. My aim over the next 12 months is to build the community and run some stellar events for the blogger community.

If this is something that sounds of interest to you, then drop me a line, or you can contact me by uk.current.com (I’m listed as Beta_Boy).

Feel free to check us out and discover what we are all about
